about

Hi, I'm Elizabeth and I'm so glad you're here!

I kind of blog about everything but I especially like to write about love, relationships and marriage, emotional health, pop culture, thrifting, and local travel.

I'm 25 and I'm working on my PhD in Theatre History, Literature, and Criticism in Columbus, Ohio where I especially love teaching undergrads and researching everything related to burlesque, sideshows, circus, and vaudeville. I really have grown to love the city of Columbus even though my husband and I miss Colorado.

I also love old movies, thrift stores and flea markets, road trips, bizarre roadside attractions, and photography. Because I have seasonal depression, I make a lot of effort to spend every pretty day out of doors and in the sun. When I'm not busy at school or teaching, I also volunteer as a hospital advocate for survivors of sexual assault. It's the coolest thing I've ever been allowed to do, hands down. If you ever want to know more about that or have questions or need help, please, please send me an email any time!

Kyle is my sugar daddy, my numero uno, my raison d'ĂȘtre, the Remington Steele to my Laura Holt.  He's a barista (or as he would say, bartending with coffee) and shift supervisor for a major coffee chain. He's pretty passionate about his coffee and his customers and it makes me so proud I could bust. We've been married almost seven years and pretty much every day, I fall an inch deeper in love with him.

Madigan is our four-year-old Pomeranian mix rescue. She's the bees' knees and she knows it.

Want to know something else? Feel free to email me here!

I love that you advocate for survivors of sexual assault. I recently took a class on domestic and intimate partner violence, and it really got me thinking about doing something of the same myself! Thanks for your interest in my blog! By the way I also love Breakfast at Tiffany's (If you couldn't tell) and You've got mail!
