I am contemplating a name change for this blog. While Love is the Adventure is still the sentiment behind what I write, I'm wondering if maybe there is a title that's a little more unusual or stands out a little more or better conveys the overall focus of the blog.
What do you all think? Would a name change confuse you? Would you stop reading? Do you think it would be hard to make the transition to a new title? If I did, should I change the url, too?
Any thoughts/experiences you have surrounding this would be verrrrrrrrry helpful.
I had a very hard time deciding a name, and who knows, I'm still not sure if it's great or not. I don't think a name change would be bad at all. If you want to, then go for it!
I really don't think a name change is neccesary, or even a good idea! You have over 100 fab followers and a change would result in a lot of confused readers.
I love the name of your blog. I don't think you need to change it, but if you want to I'd still be a loyal reader :) I've been contemplating buying the domain name to match the title of my blog, though. Mayhaps you could do that?
I made a change in February from one blog name to the one I currently have. I did it because I felt like I wanted something a bit more grown up and as if I had outgrown the other. My advice - go with your gut. If you feel like the title or whatever doesn't really define you or what you're writing then go with a change. If it still feels consistent with who you are and what you're writing, stick with it. Just my two cents. I'll be reading either way. (o:
I changed the name of my blog a year ago and I am so glad that I did!! If your current blog name doesn't feel right any longer, then I say change it. :)
I can say from experience. When I dropped my blogspot in the name after 2 years it's considered a name change which means: resets your google page rank to zero, lose all your gfc followers & start over, lose all your keyword seo you've already done. So think about it and then don't do it. It took me a whole year to get my page rank 2 site back up to a 2 now after the switch. It's a long time in blogging.
I don't think a name change would lose you any readership. But honestly, I don't even pay attention to blog names anymore. Mine surely doesn't make sense!
BTW I had to read that picture out loud several times before I got it.. it's going to be a long day.
NO CHANGES. Love, Mama
ReplyDeleteNo need for changes I love your blog name! But even if you changed it I would still read:-)
