Homesick for You

I miss Kyle. It’s hard sleeping alone five nights a week. I can’t wait until he has a job during daylight hours. The night shift is killing us both.
It’s not just the night shift, though. Sometimes when he’s lying right next to me, I miss him then, too.
If someone asked me to describe in a sentence what love really feels like, I guess I would tell them that love is when you feel as though you can’t ever possibly get close enough to stop feeling homesick. You want to reach over and climb inside his heart where it’s safe and just never, ever come out.

I’ll be out of town for a bachelorette party in Kentucky tonight. Back tomorrow with the G-rated pictures. Have a great weekend!
love, elizabeth
PS: Oh, hey, guess what? Just FOUR more posts until the giveaway! Clue #2: It should make its owner feel both pretty AND smart. What a combination.

Day 4 (Part Two)

Kyle showed me how to do the gridding myself so I went ahead and did that. The three sections of the painting are Day: 10", Sunset: 10", and Night:12".

You can't see the lines so great in the photos because they're in pencil but trust us, they're there.
Next task: Etching in the sky area.
