A Rainy Afternoon with the Books

We spent Saturday afternoon in downtown Warren, Pennsylvania and waiting for Emily and Jeremy’s wedding to start, we wandered into a couple nearby bookstores. It. was. heaven. I even got some Christmas shopping done! There is just no place like a bookstore. I could spend my whole life with my nose pressed to the printed page. THIS, people, is why I will NEVER buy an e-reader. Ever. Ever. EVER.

What about you? What do you love the most about bookstores? And what are you reading lately?

I will always love bookstores. I do have a Kindle, but I don't love it as much as I love going to the library. And never will. :)

I LOVE the smell of the bookstore, not the kind of bookstore that has a coffee bar, just the smell of books! I just finished reading Dean Koontz "By the Light of the Moon".

Ah! You found Authors!!! I'm so happy-did you also go into the Allegheny Book Mart? It's where I purchase almost every gift I give you. So happy you got to see a little favorite piece of our town while you were here. Love you!!!

Hands down favorite bookstore thing is my memories of our traipsing through used bookstores in England. The passion you had for finding the "finds"; you and Ben but especially you. Then we would cart all of our precious cargo back to our cottage and read by the electric fire. Nothing beats a lovely old bookstore. New ones are good but...nothing like those old treasure troves, especially in England.

My sister and I LOVE to read. We go to bookstores every chance we get and even wanted to open one up in our area. Meh. But I don't think there is anyone with out love of books around these parts ):

That last pic of you is so, so gorgeous.

And I love every single thing about bookstores. I'd never buy an e-reader either... ICK!

PS - that note from Kyle in your book was so incredible sweet. I'm so happy you have that kind of love in your life, Elizabeth. :)
