Sometimes I look at my blog and think…this is not really representative of my day-to-day. Yeah, I like to take pictures of the dog and clean the apartment and take Kyle on whimsical dates but honestly, the majority of my time is spent studying. And for as much as I sometimes long for nights without homework, I really, really love grad school. Especially when I get to read about people I really love like the playwright/journalist/novelist Djuna Barnes. I’ve spent so much time reading about Djuna, that I’ve stopped using her last name. We’re that close. On that nerdy note, if you want to read an amazing expose, a spunky young journalist wrote in 1914, go here. She is so crazy-brave in her writing and her work. So my point is…what was my point again? Oh, yeah, I love studying.
I’m settling in for another few hours of work and as you can see…I am prepared.
Kyle even bought me my drink of choice with his sexy, sexy partner discount. There is seriously nothing more charming than my husband holding a venti Café Misto with a shot of espresso…sigh.
Lady Starbucks isn’t bad-looking either but that’s probably just the copious amounts of caffeine talking.
Okay, back to my books…

nerdy about? hmmm...i'd have to admit, taking pictures of myself for my blog. my sister or mom is often busy so i set up a tripod. SUPER NERDY!!
I dunno about feeling nerdy these days...I've kind of passed wondering or worrying if I am anything other than who I want to be.

i'm right there with ya in the same "monotony of studying" boat! it suuuure does consume my life, which is probably why i blog about everything other than school. blogging is somewhat of a nice little escape! anyways, just came across your blog and i'm really loving it! keep up the great posts!
I don't have to study anymore, but now I am enjoying more in learning about new stuff then I did when I was on college!

I miss homework and Djuna IS looking like a sassy, sassy maid if I do say so myself. As for personal nerdiness (you know all of my darkest, geekiest secrets, so we won't air those out in public) I go so excited to go to the Carnegie museum in Pgh this weekend I almost couldn't sleep the night before. *pushes up glasses*
